Financial Reporting That Actually Makes Sense

We teach investors how to read beyond the numbers. Because spreadsheets tell stories—if you know what you're looking for.

How We Got Here

Started with a frustration: too many smart investors were misreading financial statements. So we built something different.

Early 2022

The Aha Moment

Watched three clients make bad investment decisions based on quarterly reports they didn't fully understand. That was the push we needed—start teaching, not just advising.

Mid 2023

First Course Launch

Our pilot program had 18 students. Half of them were accountants who wanted to understand investor perspective. The other half were investors who'd never taken an accounting class. Both groups learned from each other—that's when we knew the format worked.

Late 2024

Curriculum Expansion

Added modules on cash flow patterns, red flags in footnotes, and what auditor language actually means. Turned out people really wanted the "between the lines" stuff that nobody else was teaching.

2025 Forward

Building Context Libraries

Now we're creating industry-specific analysis frameworks. Because reading a tech company's financials requires different skills than reading a mining operation. Next intake opens autumn 2025.

What You'll Actually Learn

Not just ratios and formulas. We focus on judgment—the kind that comes from seeing patterns across hundreds of reports.

Our Teaching Philosophy
Cash flow statement analysis and working capital assessment

Core Module

Cash Flow Reality Checks

Most people skip to net income. We start with cash operations because that's where companies either prove their model or reveal their problems.

Financial footnotes and disclosure document review

Advanced Topic

Footnote Forensics

The real story lives in the disclosures. Learn what triggers suspicion, what's normal complexity, and which accounting choices matter for valuation.

Comparative industry financial metrics and benchmarking analysis

Practical Application

Industry Context Mapping

Same metrics mean different things across sectors. We teach you to build mental models for retail vs manufacturing vs services—and why that context changes everything.

Report Reading Rhythm

Speed matters when you're reviewing multiple companies. We show you a systematic approach that catches what's important without drowning in detail.
